LTB's Nitrogen
Lasers MNL are transversally
excited atmosphere (TEA) lasers, i. e. they run
at slight overpressure. Pulse widths in the
sub-nanosecond range are thus achieved as
well as a very long lifetime without a
significant decay in the output energy.
The pulse widths are between 500 - 800 ps.
The specified laser energy normally decreases after more than 60 million
pulses only
to 80 %. The lasers of the MNL series are characterized by an excellent
long-term
stability. The pulse-to-pulse fluctuations measured over 1.2 million pulses
are
typ. < 4 %. This makes the laser an excellent excitation source for
quantitative and
long-term measurements.
