Coherent
is a leader in aluminum-free active area (AAA)
diode lasers for integration into complete, full-featured
laser diode systems.
With extensive experience, we grow all our material
(InGaAP for high-power infrared lasers, and InGaAsP
for high-power, near-infrared lasers) in our high-capacity
molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) reactors.
All processing, packaging, and testing are carefully
monitored to achieve high-quality devices.
- Fiber
Coupled Bars - Fiber Array Packaged (FAP) diode
bars are designed
to be the easiest way to deliver from 3.5 Watts up 40 Watts from a single
FAP
via a single solid core 800mm or 600 mm fiber, terminated with a standard
SMA 905 connector.
- Fiber-Coupled
Single Emitters - Fiber-coupled single-stripe diodes
are
available in all standard wavelengths (670 nm to 990 nm) in powers ranging
from 250 mW to 3W. Our devices can accommodate a variety of connectors
(SMA, SC, ST, FC and others), fiber sizes (50 to 200 micron cores),
and
optical imaging accessories
- Full
Feature Systems - Coherent offers two types of stand-alone,
turn-key,
microprocessor-controlled fiber coupled diode laser systems -- the F-System
and the FAP-System. These system allow the user total flexibility with
modularity in power, built-in dynamic temporal pulsing control, and
quick
swap out of different wavelength, diode lasers from the red to the infrared.
- Packaged
Bars - Coherent's high-power diode laser bars are
available in
either conduction-cooled or water-cooled platforms, these 1 cm bars
are
capable of CW powers up to 60W and QCW powers over 100W.
- Single
Emitter Devices - Choose from various housing options
like the high
heat load package (HHL) for increased thermal management or
the T03 or fiber-coupled device for straightforward incorporation of
diode
lasers at the production level. Optical specifications include wavelengths
from 780 nm to 980 nm at power levels from 500 mW to 7W in emitting
geometries from 50 mm to 500 mm.
- Stacks
- Coherent offers diode lasers with the simplest and most efficient
means of delivering high peak power in compact, conduction-cooled stacked
arrays.
Coherent's stacked arrays are available from 780 nm to 810 nm, and output
peak powers from 120W to 480W. Also available in a standard passively
cooled
platform, they can be configured in 2-bar, 4-bar, and -6-bar options.
